Autohotkey script for Viliv S5 Windows 7 on screen keyboard

Viliv's on screen keyboard is useable. The Windows 7 on screen keyboard is better. I use the following Autohotkey script to show/hide the Windows 7 on screen keyboard.

The first line corresponds to the h sent when the S5 keyboard hotkey (the button on the lower right corner of the S5) is pressed.

Screen protector for Viliv S5`

Some screen protectors either look like crap, or scratch easily. I discovered the EXiM Ultra Clear SPUC series back when I used my Tapwave Zodiac. I have used several of these since the Zodiac. None of them have scratches. They are tough.

EXiM now offers a screen protector for the Viliv S5.

Here's the procedure that I use to install a screen protector:
1) Clean the display thoroughly using window cleaner and a microfiber cloth. I prefer Sparkle, but I'm sure that others will work well also.
2) Clean the display again.
3) Blow off any lint or dust using compressed air.
4) Lightly spray the display with distilled water or glass cleaner.
5) Peel back about 1/2 of the protective film on the screen protector.
6) Lay the screen protector on the display and peel of the rest of the protective film.
7) The screen protector should be sitting on a layer of water, and can be moved around to center it on the display.
8) Work out the bubbles using your fingers. The screen protector will start sticking to the display.
9) After about a day, the screen protector should look good.

Nice Viliv S5 case

When I purchase a new gadget, I usually look for a nice case to protect it. Currently, my favorite case for the Viliv S5 is the Blackhawk Pocket Pack. Has plenty of room for the S5 and some accessories (such as the ThinkOutside Stowaway keyboard). On the front, it has a mesh pocket where a MoGo mouse can be stashed. For that paramilitary nerd look, it has belt loops. I used to wear my HP41 calculator proudly on my belt. Not sure I'd wear this in public. Mine is the black model, though it is also available in Olive Drab and Coyote Tan.

My favorite Fujitsu U810/U820 case

Currently, my favorite case for the Fujitsu U810/U820 is the Blackhawk BDU Pocket Pack. Has plenty of room for the U820 and some thin accessories. On the front, it has a mesh pocket where a MoGo mouse can be stashed. For that paramilitary nerd look, it has belt loops. Since the U810 is slightly smaller than the U810, it fits well in this case also (I used to have a U810). I used to wear my HP41 calculator proudly on my belt. Not sure I'd wear this in public. Mine is the black model, though it is also available in Olive Drab and Coyote Tan.

Dynamism now shipping Viliv S5

I was able to plow my way through the Dynamism Viliv S5 ordering process. It took me 45 minutes using two different computers on two different networks. I received an e-mail today stating that my order has shipped! Woohoo!! None of the accessories that I also ordered have shipped, though. I guess that I can live without that spare wall wart power supply and VGA cable.

Many have complained about Dynamism's handling of this process. My credit card number recently changed, and the order had the old credit card number. I called their order support number and had the credit card number changed in no time.
